Wallpaper by Charles Voysey

Simple, flat birds and trees in light colours – the Arts and Crafts wallpaper that points towards the 20th century.

Charles Voysey designed wallpapers and fabrics for several makers from the 1880s. His patterns were simpler and sparser than Morris’s and left more air on the wall.

The light, clean patterns suited his white houses and became a model for designers both in Britain and on the Continent around 1900.
