Ateljé Lyktan
Lighting company in Åhus founded by Hans Bergström; Anders Pehrson later worked there and designed Bumling. Known for lamps in lacquered metal and wood.
Ateljé Lyktan began as a small workshop in Åhus in Skåne and grew into one of Sweden's well-known lighting factories. The firm made both lamps for the home and fittings for public spaces.
Anders Pehrson developed Bumling in the 1960s, a pendant with a heavy, rounded shade that became a Swedish classic. Lamps from Ateljé Lyktan returned at auction as interest in Swedish post-war design grew.
Labels with the firm’s name and Åhus; older lamps have fabric flex and Bakelite holders.
