Brionvega

Milan maker of radios and televisions, known for its collaboration with Marco Zanuso, Richard Sapper and the Castiglioni brothers.

Brionvega was founded by Giuseppe and Rina Brion in Milan under the name BPM and first made radio parts and radios. In the 1960s the company committed to design and had architects and industrial designers develop its products.

Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper designed the folding TS 502 radio and the Doney and Algol televisions, and the Castiglioni brothers the RR 126 stereo. The forms became symbols of Italian electronics design. The brand has since relaunched several of the classics.
