Callaway
American maker of golf clubs and golf balls.
Ely Callaway founded Callaway Golf in California in 1982 after buying a small company that made golf clubs. He had earlier led the textile firm Burlington Industries.
The Big Bertha club of 1991 made the company known. Callaway has since made drivers, irons and balls for professionals and amateurs.
