Hasselblad
Victor Hasselblad’s camera company in Gothenburg; medium-format cameras with interchangeable parts that went to the Moon.
Victor Hasselblad came from a Gothenburg merchant family and during the Second World War developed an aerial camera for the Swedish air force. After the war he designed a civilian camera with interchangeable magazines and lenses.
The Hasselblad 1600F of 1948 was designed with Sixten Sason, and the 500C of 1957 became a standard for professional photographers. A modified Hasselblad went to the Moon with Apollo 11 in 1969. The company is now owned by the Chinese firm DJI.
