KitchenAid
Kitchen machines from Ohio, originally within Hobart; the model K (1937) by Egmont Arens is the basis of today’s mixers.
Hobart Manufacturing made commercial dough mixers and developed a smaller machine for the home. According to the company's history, an executive's wife said it was the best kitchen aid she had ever had, and the name KitchenAid stuck.
The industrial designer Egmont Arens drew the Model K in 1937, which is still the basis of the machines. KitchenAid is now part of Whirlpool.
