Look

French maker from Nevers that moved from ski bindings to clipless pedals and carbon-fibre bicycle frames.

Look first made ski bindings and used the technology for a pedal in which the cycling shoe clicked into place. Bernard Hinault won the 1985 Tour de France with the pedals, and soon almost every professional used clipless pedals.

Look was also early with carbon-fibre frames, and Greg LeMond won the 1986 Tour de France on one. The brand still makes pedals and frames for road and track.
