Porsche

Ferdinand Porsche’s design office in Stuttgart; its own sports cars from the 356 (1948) and 911 (1963).

Ferdinand Porsche opened a design office in Stuttgart and designed, among other things, the Volkswagen. After the war his son Ferry Porsche built the first sports car, the 356, in Gmünd in Austria, with a body drawn by Erwin Komenda.

Ferdinand Alexander Porsche designed the 911 of 1963, which has been made in ever new versions since then. The 917 racing car won Le Mans in 1970 and 1971. Porsche is now in the same ownership sphere as Volkswagen.
