Founded on Murano by the lawyer Paolo Venini and the antique dealer Giacomo Cappellin. Renewed Murano glass with artists such as Carlo Scarpa, Fulvio Bianconi and Gio Ponti.
Paolo Venini was a lawyer in Milan who founded the glassworks on Murano with the antiques dealer Giacomo Cappellin. Vittorio Zecchin, Napoleone Martinuzzi and Carlo Scarpa renewed the glass with new techniques.
With Fulvio Bianconi, Venini made the asymmetrical Fazzoletto vase and Pezzato. Gio Ponti, Tapio Wirkkala and Timo Sarpaneva also made glass for Venini.
