Clara Driscoll

Designer

Headed the Women’s Glass Cutting Department at Tiffany Studios and designed many of the famous Tiffany lamps.

Clara Driscoll worked for Louis Comfort Tiffany in New York for some twenty years, leading a department of about thirty women who cut and soldered the glass.

Letters found only in 2005 showed that she designed lamps such as the Dragonfly and the Wisteria, long credited to Tiffany himself.
