Hector Guimard
Architect and designer
French Art Nouveau architect, known for the Paris Métro entrances and furniture with whiplash lines.
Hector Guimard built the Castel Béranger in Paris and designed everything in it, from the façade to the wallpapers and door handles.
His cast-iron Métro entrances of 1900 made Art Nouveau part of the street.
