Adidas Azteca

The first World Cup ball made entirely of synthetic material.
The Azteca was used at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico and was the first World Cup ball made entirely of synthetic material. It did not absorb water like leather balls and kept its shape better.
The pattern was inspired by Aztec art, whose culture is part of Mexico’s heritage. The ball made synthetic material the standard in football.
Materials: Synthetic polyurethane leather
