The 2006 World Cup ball built from fourteen joined panels instead of thirty-two.

The Teamgeist had only fourteen panels that were thermally bonded rather than stitched. That gave a rounder ball with a more even bounce and less water absorption.

The name means team spirit in German. It was the World Cup ball on home ground for Adidas, whose headquarters are in Herzogenaurach.

Materials: Thermally bonded synthetic material

Manufacture: Made by Adidas for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.
