The first noise-cancelling headphones for ordinary travellers.

Amar Bose got the idea for noise-cancelling headphones on a flight in 1978. After many years of research the QuietComfort came in 2000 as a headphone for travellers.

Microphones in the headphones listen to the noise and send out a sound that cancels it. The headphones made it possible to hear music on aircraft without raising the volume.
