Bugatti Royale

One of the largest and most expensive cars ever built, made for kings but sold in only a handful of examples.
Ettore Bugatti wanted to build a car for Europe's royal houses, but the Great Depression intervened. Only six Royales were built, and the engines were later used in French railcars.
Materials: Steel, aluminium; eight-cylinder engine of nearly 13 litres
Manufacture: Made in Molsheim; each car received its own body.
The silver elephant on the radiator, after Rembrandt Bugatti's sculpture.
The very long bonnet, longer than an ordinary car.
