Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic

A sports car with a riveted seam along the roof and bonnet, built in only four examples.
Jean Bugatti, Ettore's son, designed the Atlantic after a prototype in a light alloy that could not be welded. The rivets became part of the design. The four cars are among the most valuable in existence.
Materials: Aluminium and magnesium alloy; eight-cylinder engine
Manufacture: Made in Molsheim; the panels were riveted because the alloy could not be welded.
The riveted fin along the car's centre line.
The teardrop windows and the sloping tail.
