Liberty’s silver with Celtic knots and blue-green enamel, designed by a designer from the Isle of Man.

Liberty launched the Cymric range in 1899 and kept the designers anonymous; Knox designed most of the best. His pewter range Tudric is also in the collection. Examples are in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Manx Museum.

Materials: Silver, enamel

Manufacture: Made in Birmingham by W. H. Haseler for Liberty; partly machine-stamped but with a hand-hammered surface.

The Celtic interlace running like tendrils over the surface.

The enamel in blue and green, like the sheen of a peacock feather.
