Head Standard

The ski of aluminium and plywood that made downhill skiing easier for everyone.

The aircraft engineer Howard Head was a poor skier and found wooden skis heavy and unruly. After many attempts he made a ski of aluminium and plywood, bonded like an aircraft wing.

The ski turned easily and was called The Cheater. It made Head rich and changed the sport; later he also made the large Prince tennis racket.
