A vase shaped like a flower with a wide shimmering collar on a long stem.

Tiffany patented Favrile glass in 1894. The vase imitates a North American arum and is among the best-known examples of American Art Nouveau glass. It is in the Metropolitan Museum and the Morse Museum.

Materials: Iridescent Favrile glass

Manufacture: Free-blown glass; the shimmering surface came from metal salts sprayed on while the glass was hot.

The flat wavy collar opening at the top, like the flower it is named after.

The rainbow-shimmering metallic surface in gold and blue.
