KEF Reference Model 105

The floor-standing speaker developed with the help of computers and measurements.

KEF’s engineers, including Laurie Fincham, used measurements and computer calculations to make the parts of the speaker work together. The Model 105 was the first of KEF’s Reference series.

The speaker showed that a loudspeaker could be guided by measurements and not just by listening. The method became common in the industry.
