Lotus Seven

A minimal sports car with exposed wheels and hardly any body, sold as a kit.
The Seven was based on Colin Chapman's idea of making the car light and simple. When Lotus stopped making it in 1973, Caterham bought the rights, and it is still made.
Materials: Tubular chassis, aluminium panels; four-cylinder engine
Manufacture: Made in England; buyers could assemble it themselves to avoid tax.
The exposed front wheels with cycle wings.
The narrow body without doors.
