Hallberg-Rassy Monsun 31
The sturdy cruising yacht from Orust that has sailed around the world.
Hallberg-Rassy was formed in 1972 when Christoph Rassy took over Harry Hallberg’s yard on Orust. The Monsun 31, designed by Olle Enderlein, became the yard’s great success and was built in hundreds.
The boat was made to sail far and safely rather than fast, and several Monsuns have sailed around the world. It made Orust a centre for Swedish quality boats exported all over the world.
Materials: Glass-reinforced plastic, teak, mahogany in the interior
Manufacture: Built by Hallberg-Rassy in Ellös on Orust from 1974; about 900 were built.
