Larkspur

The wallpaper with larkspur in blue and pink arranged in rows that ripple across the wall.
Larkspur was designed by William Morris in 1872 and is one of the wallpapers where the flowers are arranged in a flowing pattern. The larkspur, a garden plant, is drawn with clear outlines.
The wallpaper was printed in several colours with woodblocks. It shows Morris’s ability to turn a natural plant into a regular pattern.
Materials: Distemper on paper, printed with woodblocks
