Panerai's diving watch with a bridge that protects and locks the crown.

In 1949 Panerai patented Luminor, a luminous paint based on tritium that replaced radium. The crown bridge made the watch tighter. The Luminor became civilian in 1993 and is one of the best-known diving watches.

Materials: Steel, luminous paint; hand-wound movement

Manufacture: Made in Florence and later in Neuchâtel; the bridge presses the crown against the case.

The bridge over the crown with a lever.
