Parker 61

A pen that filled itself by capillary action, with no piston or sac.

You stood the pen in the ink bottle, and the ink was drawn up into a roll of thin plastic film. The method was elegant but hard to clean, and Parker later went back to simpler filling.

Materials: Plastic, metal, gold nib

Manufacture: Made in Janesville and in Newhaven, England.

The almost hidden nib with a small arrow.

The metal cap and slender body.
