Tiffany Favrile glass scent bottle

The small perfume bottle of iridescent glass with shimmering surfaces.

Louis Comfort Tiffany developed Favrile glass in the 1890s, in which metal oxides in the glass give a shimmering surface like ancient glass from the earth. It was made in his glasshouse in Corona.

Small bottles and vases of Favrile glass were sold for several decades and became a hallmark of American Art Nouveau.
