The first panoramic wallpaper: a continuous Swiss landscape around the whole room.

Panoramic wallpapers turned the room into a viewpoint and were popular in Europe and America. Zuber still prints from the old blocks. Examples are in the Musée du Papier Peint in Rixheim.

Materials: Paper, distemper

Manufacture: Printed from over a thousand hand-carved woodblocks at Zuber’s factory in Rixheim; 16 lengths form one picture.

The landscape continuing unbroken from length to length.

The soft palette imitating painting.
