René Lalique
Jeweller and glass artist
French artist who made Art Nouveau jewellery into art and later glass into industry.
René Lalique made jewellery with enamel, horn and glass rather than precious stones alone, and became famous at the Paris World's Fair of 1900.
Later he turned to pressed glass in series.
